My left knee ligament hurts like hell..been icing it, salon pas and applying cream..no effects..*Finger crossed*Will see a doc tmr...I'm still very happy tt i completed my 21km despite my knee(i hurt it back in real run)..kekeke...

hey dude...yap its on the outside of my left knee...seen a doc today...She said its Iliotibal band syndrome. Need to rest for 3-4 wks. She gave me this anti inflammation pills called Arcoxia. I checked up the runnersworld website. This is what i understand from there. Iliotibal band syndrome (ITBS) occurs when the IT band, which runs from the buttocks down and across the knee becomes tight and inflamed. Overpronation and bow-leggedness can also contribute. If caught early, you can recover in one to four weeks. Take anti-inflammatories one to two hours prerun, and stretch and ice postrun, says Irene Davis, Ph.D., P.T., of the University of Delaware. Reduce mileage, hills, and intensity. When you run on a track, rotate laps (1 mile clockwise, 1 mile counterclockwise).

Tape your arches or wear orthotics.Hope this helps...
