Today my CPU had our 1st badminton outing at my CC. 2 weeks ago booked both courts for 2 hours.
I wore my Brookes control running shoes since don't have badminton shoes. Day before, spent $67 buying 2 badminton rackets from World of Sports. Never realise "Head" sells rackets. RSH sells Wilson badminton rackets. All sell some types of Yonex rackets but expensive.
Haven't played badminton for 20 years or thereabouts. Must have been more or less my secondary school days. Worse still is the challenge of teaching my kids to serve so that they can 'play'.
Now at night, I feeling my butt, just below the base of the spine is aching. Must have been all the jumping. And perhaps using shoes with insufficient cushioning.
My left shoulder was already aching this afternoon from the use of my left shoulder in stroke play. Haven't swung my left shoulder for racket games for just too many years.
Wonder how bad will it be tomorrow? Someone in my CPU said it will usually be felt on the next day and sure will have some pain since we're using different muscles in playing badminton compared to jogging or gym workouts. Just got to wait and see.
