Nope, I didn't run this year. Still resting and hoping my knee muscles/ ligaments will recover as much as it can. I signed up as a volunteer. Was allocated to handle baggage deposit. Arrived by cab at 6:30am. Signed in and got my XS yellow event tee. There was a hectic period when a lot of people came to deposit bags before the race started. Only 4 of us instead of 6. Not sure how come. But it was okay. (I got to meet in person sgRunners.com webmistress who was helping with the baggage too) Asked for the bib number, write it on the card, tag the babbage with the plastic cuff and place it behind. After the race started, me, GTR, Dr Tan arrange the baggages in rows (0-93, 100-193, 200-293, 300-393, 400-433).
I didn't help much with the baggage redemption cause I shifted to help the ladies at the registration counters who were giving out goodie bags and finisher medals. I did the simple job of putting the medal into the goodie bag and handing it out. Great day. I ended the day wth helping to pack the tables and plastic chairs before going to the bus stop. I took bus 403 to Pasir Ris Interchange, changing to bus 88 to go Sengkang and finally transferring to bus 83 at Punggol Road to get home. 1 hour journey though the buss 88 from Pasir Ris interchange to Punggol Road was less than 30mins.
