Just a quick update. I did not run this last Sunday. It was a bit wet and my right leg still wasn't fully recovered. Saw on sgRunners that the ventilation was not good (as I suspected) and newspaper actually confirmed one professional photographer and 2 runners collapsed in the tunnel. I think the ventilation systems are fine for vehicles zipping through the 12km tunnel but 10,000 walking & running sweating, smelly people. . . . . .that's another thing!

It was a blessing I did not go on Sunday as at 9:45am, a brother called to tell me his 41 yr-old wife has passed away from cancer. I rushed to SGH and reflected in the MRT how glad I am I was not in the KPE tunnel when the call came. At least I could rush down to be there and subsequently help in setting up the tentage for the wake and many other things after that for the wake and funeral.

God knows and all things happen with a purpose (though we may not know why sometimes).
